Being primarily fashion-mided individuals, we at thedownlow encounter, try and approve (or deny) each trend that is thrown our way.
In doing this, every now and then we come across trends that really do not work for us – or are just plain horrendous.
Usually we keep our focus on the good trends – after all we were always taught that if we didn’t have anything nice to say then we should just shut up – But some things need to be said. After all, it’s our job right?
Please just decide – Short or long, this half and half thing just doesn’t work. Put it down, walk away, let it die.
Now don’t get me wrong, we LOVE Isabel Marant and adore Marc Jacobs but we cannot help but blame them for the birth of this terrible, terrible trend. Once again it is a matter of choice – sneaker OR wedge – there is just something so wrong about this hybrid.
It is almost impossible to walk past a store, read a magazine or browse online without coming across some peplum toting garment. The peplum is marketed as ‘a trend that everybody can wear’ yet that is so far from the truth. You have been warned.
