The 87th Academy Awards are only three days away so chances are everyone will already have their ‘perfect’ dress but stuff that all those dresses are old news. Oscar nominees deserve that fresh off the runway feeling.
Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta
I don’t think Reese will win the Oscar for Wild, but I do think she should dress like she will. Add a necklace and some inoffensive clutch and we’re done.
Meryl Streep in Michael Kors
I want her to wear this with a crisp white shirt, Diane Keaton style.
Rosamund Pike in Donna Karen
Rosamund has been stuck with some wack things lately, so I think it’s about time she got something good. (This looked far more interesting and beautiful walking the runway a lot of the beauty gets lost in the background here).
Marion Cotillard in Altuzarra
Only Marion (the French) could pull off this dress on the red carpet without looking too sexy.
(Can we invent a new word for sexy? Using it makes me feel icky).
Laura Dern in Michael Kors
Dern has the figure to carry this dress, but I would encourage her to get it fully lined. What is going on there in the middle? Also different shoes. Definitely different shoes.
Julianne Moore in Jenny Packham
I absolutely believe that Moore is going to win the Oscar on Sunday. I also think I may love sparkles a little too much.
Jennifer Anniston in Monique Lhuillier
Jennifer is not technically a nominee, but she tried so damn hard to be one I thought I’d include her anyway. Also when I saw this, it reminded me of something the 90s/early 2000s Jennifer Anniston would wear. You know the one who was a beach babe/hippie and didn’t only wear black? Time to bring her back I think.
Felicity Jones in Carolina Herrera
This would also look fabulous on Amy Adams or Lupita Nyong’o, but neither of them is nominated so…
Emma Stone in Rachel Zoe
Emma has been wearing a lot of pantsuits, jumpsuits and the like recently so I thought it could be kind of awesome for her to do this all white 70s thing. Although thinking about it, maybe not because she is bound to spill something on herself and then win and have to walk on stage with a giant meatball stain on her trousers.
Sienna Miller in Monique Lhuillier
Also not a nominee but she has been off the scene for so long and I missed her so deal with it.
