NZFW Day#2 – Trelise Cooper

New Zealand Fashion Week

Trelise Cooper

It definitely isn’t fashion week without a show running extremely behind a.k.a fashionably late; the Trelise Cooper show brang the term into use, with an hour-long delay. Typically the largest show at fashion week, the show was broken up into three parts (Cooper, Trelise Cooper, and “Boardroom”) and featured eighty looks, with each model showcasing about five looks each.

Cooper

With all the models sporting super-cool high top hats, the Cooper range featured a fun, western cowboy slash Americano visual. Showcasing high collars, knee-lengths, ruffles and embellished outfits, the trends from RAFW 2011 and Day 1 of NZFW 2011 continued to roll on through the Cooper collection.

Trelise Cooper

The Trelise Cooper collection comprised many luscious floral prints, structured, detailed jackets, beautiful chiffon numbers, and monochromatic plaid outfits. I especially love the floral print dress (look 5, above) and top (look 10, above).

Boardroom

After the Trelise Cooper collection, there was a random moment where a group of models walked out together wearing corporate blazers, over the knee tights and panties with “Boardroom” written across the back, which is the name of Trelise’s newest collection. No doubt there were cheers and wolf-whistles coming from all sides of the Westpac shed.

The actual collection comprised a beautiful mix of lace, and knee length skirts – perfect stylish attire for the corporate woman – but also a few more dressy pieces, great for after work drinks, perhaps?

Overall, despite the wait, the show was definitely well worth it and once again, Trelise has definitely tailored the three collections to cater to the needs of every fashionista.
